Radio Installition

Carefully pry from either of the lower two corners with a small screwdriver, and the "U" shaped "surround" should pop right out. Then remove the bolts at the corners of the radio. Really quite simple. If you have a 1/4" drive ratchet handle with an extension and socket, that's ideal for removing and installing the radio.

Before removing the fasteners in the corners of the radio, stuff a white cloth in the well on the left side. The fastener in the top left corner will be prevented from falling into the dashboard.

Don't ask me how I know this.

From habit, without thinking about it, when removing such fasteners, I place my finger alongside the screw as it backs out, then keep it there, to hold the head of the sheet metal screw and flange, into the socket, so that both can be withdrawn without falling.
