Unlike new Toyota models which have built-in hooks will hold the floor mats in place. In my '90 Corolla & '95 Pickup, the floor mats between the driver seat and gas/brake pedals will move forward and upward, then eventually stuck underneath the brake and gas pedals. It's pretty annoying. I have to pull them back almost once in a week. I think you guys probably have this problem. How do you hold the floor mats in place, especially on the drive side? Regards, Matt

Double sided carpet tape works pretty good. Make sure it's placed right before you tramp it down.

I hooked a couple of straps to the rear of the mats and bolted the straps to the front seat track bolt on each side. The front of the straps have snaps so the mats can be removed for cleaning.
Velcro.
Makes it easy enough to remove for cleaning, and stays in place while driving.
You can either get self-adhesive velcro strips, or ones that sew in.
good luck! GTr
Used to notice the same thing. Then I discovered, that just as easily as they slide forward, they also slide back. I just let my heels rest on the carpet after starting the car, and pull back slightly - snaps the carpet right back into position. No worries.

I had the same problem and used heavy duty velcro that came in a kit to keep things from falling during earthquakes. It's got some heavy duty glue that sticks to about anything, including the underside of the mats. The advantage over double sided tape is that you don't have to retape when you take the mats out to clean them.

Fine ideas from the others which earned a slap on the forehead and a damn! why didn't I think of that! As an alternative, we have Husky floor mats for the Prerunner and 4Runner, and we got these heavy black carpet mats with these industro spiky rubber undersides. Myself, I wish they make Husky floor mats for the car, too. I guess I'm to the point in life that it's easier to rinse the rubberized plastic off then vacuum the floor mats.
I pull them back a little more than once a week |>))))
