Hi all,

tring to charge my car battery, label a little faded cant see any details. Just wondering if anyone would know roughly how many amps a car batter is on average.

only have a 2 amp contineous charger, planning on giving it overnight charge, not sure how long it would take to get to capacity. was guessing a lil longer than overnight.

any suggestions greeatly appreicated :)

thanks

You brought a knife to a gun fight. 2 amp chargers are just adequate for maintaining a car sized battery or for charging motorcycle sized batteries. For automotive, get a 10 amp charger. ALL of these larger chargers have an integrated voltage regulator whereas trickle chargers often do not.

Check your batter with a hydrometer after a couple of hours. If there is much difference in the reading between cells, plan on replacing the battery.
