Hi folks:
I was driving on the highway and suddenly the car lost power and didn't accelerate anymore even though i was pressing the gas. The engine was still on. Luckly I managed to get out of the road. I tried to start it again but it sounded like it would do it but nothing. Do you think it would be the time belt? what else could it be? Thanks

how many miles on the belt, does the motor turn over real easy.
right now the car has 140K. I got the car used so I cannot tell how old the belt is. The motor sounds like always when I try to start it but it doesnt. Another thing that I noticed before is that the gas pedal was kinda hard to press when I was in first gear. I though it was just a dirty throttle.
