Fender Flares

Folks,

I never wanted flares on my truck but the amount of rocks getting kicked up from the tires and hitting my body is hetting out of hand (reads: paint is going)...

My tires stick out a little and my new rims will even more .. so I thought to bite the bullet and get flares...

There are either riveted ones or glued ones ... I wonder which is better? Also I was wondering .. If I put flares on isnt that like a guarantee that it will rust to death under the flares? Would riveted or glued be better for that?

I want to keep the truck for a long time and dont want to start any rust nests ...

Matt

Not to highjack your topic, but why the hell are aftermarket fender flares so Goddam expensive?

Glue them on... and when you say glue, i hope you mean 3m adhesive tape. Definitely don't rivet/damage your sheet metal. If they're glued on & the paint coat is not breached, there's no reason they would rust.

use clear or black silicone adhesive to seal them
