Wide wheels....

I know they will physically fit on a 7 inch rim but they are, according to the importer, best suited to an 8.5 inch rim. The minimum rim size I've been advised to get is 8 inches.

Putting them on a 7 inch rim means that the sidewall angle is wrong which increases the chance of leaks and the chance of them being knocked off the rim. The second air kit would probably solve (or at least disguise) both of those so I will use 7 inch rims if that's all I can get. On the other hand if I can find someone to supply an 8 inch version that's even better !

I have had one useful lead on a set of 8 inch rims but nothing definite yet, problem is they are double the price of the 7 inch rims and have to be specially ordered.

I've got to have my Land Rover ready to ship in March so can't really afford to leave it that long although I have been told it's a good show :-)

I'd also recommend Nene Valley. They went out of their way to help me with a more-than-slightly unusual problem a month or two back, and also volunteered discounts even though I clearly had nowhere else to go.

saying that, they might've been 8x15 which mine were on. but I think they were 7", 'cos I remember being slightly surprised that the disco steel rims were 7", and were the same width.

the tyres were 10.5" wide, same as yours.
