Halogen sealed beam

After 20 years finally lost the p/u's sealed beam. Replaced with a halogen sealed beam. Noticed the silver reflective material isn't applied where the leads come in the back. About 2" non-reflective opening in the back, light leaks where hood line meets fender.

Spray paint didn't stick to the glass, course it was only about 40 degrees outside, but had a warm engine compartment.

Is run of the mill duct tape heat resistant enough to apply to the headlight, or other ideas to solve this minor, annoyance. Thanks Mark

Go to your local hardware and get some of the shiny metal tape used in sealing joints in heating/cooling ductwork. That stuff really sticks, it should be somewhat reflective and heat should not be a problem. Good luck.
