How can I recognize Vehicle Stability Pkg.?

Try driving it on a wide gravel road and get a bit sloppy(at reasonable speed so you can recover in any case) around the corner. It should beep at you *beep beep beep* and the rear end will slide back in line.

IIRC, it may only work in 4*4 mode. Not sure, though.

VSP? On my 03 LC, I have VSC (Vehicle Stability Control or Vehicle Skid Control). Is this what you are referring to? This is in addition to Traction Control.

On the LC there are VSC TRAC and VSC OFF indicators which light up during the lamp test period when the ignition is switched to the ON position prior to starting. There is also a TRAC light associated with the Traction Control. It comes on when wheel slippage occurs during acceleration.

VSC TRAC is a malfunction indicator for both the VSC and Traction Control systems, so it will normally be OFF after engine start.

The VSC OFF indicator will be ON when center differential lock is selected, if you have that capability. The LC is full time 4WD so this may not apply to you.
