I should have went to church. But no I layed out and went to pick up some groceries since the wife was working. Lukily (I'm sure that the driver would have ran) I was exiting the store when to my surprise a Honda accord parked on the opposite side of the isle backs of his space at rather high speed, side swipes the gran prix parked next to him spins around and his front driver side does a number on the passenger side of the rear bumper on my '96 T100. The bumper has relocated about 6" to the left and the sheet metal behind the bumper is seriously wadded up. The tail gate is jammed and cannot be openned. The driver did not have an US driver's license but somehow he did have insurance. The police officer who responded said that the damage was at least $1000 to the truck. I have the option of taking the money and having the truck fixed myself or taking it to a Nationwide aproved body shop. What does the group think? Either way I will get a few estimates and even consider just trading the truck in on a new tocoma or tundra. The T100 has 249000 and was running fine until I've recently noticed a rather strong vibration that I can't pinpoint.
Why am I posting this? Sometimes it helps to just type it outload and to see what others might think of my 'reasoning'.
