At the dealership, you will have peace of mind that factory parts are used which usually means less squeaking, dust, etc. But you will pay more. What is it worth to you?

An independant auto repair shop will install factory brake parts if asked to do so. I agree, when it comes to brakes, factory parts are best.

My original brake pads went over 170,000 miles on my 93 pickup and replacing them took me all of 45 minutes. Hard to complain about factory parts prices when they last that long.
