I own an '89 Yota Pickup 22RE and I was wondering where it redlined at. The truck didn't come with a tachometer in the cluster, and it wasn't indicated in the owner's manual. Any ideas?
I set my shift light on my tach to 4500 because it is my opinion that it shifts at 5000.

My celicas indicate 5500 as the redline (with yellow on the tach starting at
5000). Personally, I don't like to rev much past 4500... I don't feel like losing my left foot.One day a couple years ago, I foolishly revved one to 7500 for a few seconds.. didn't seem to hurt it. I wouldn't do it again though.. i still feel a bit guilty.
Now, a peugeot engine... I'll send one of those through the roof any day.
