I would like to fix my 87 runner, its really a nice ride, top off and in good shape, but it has a big problem, the pillar that holds the windshield in is rusted totally.
I took a grinder to it a few years ago to fix it, but found it went all the way, so all I could do was put duct tape on it where the door shuts against it. It also has small holes at the top where it hits the roof also, on the outside. (both sides)
I guess I could cut the top off another and weld it on, but is there another way to just take out the window and cut and replace sections of rusted pillar?
