If I have about 2" smaller spare tire (by diameter), can I use it to drive some 10-20 miles to the nearest repair shop? I know that using a different size (or even different tread pattern) tires is not good -- worse handling, etc, but how bad is it, really? What is the effect on differential (of driving 10-20 mls)? Is it too dangerous to drive like this, even at low speeds, say, 40 mph?
