I'm looking for a good 85.5 x 69mm rebuild kit, I read somewhere that I should also make sure to get a forged crank. Is this really necessary? I'm not going to be pushing a ton of power, just a dual-carbed (34) 1600cc dual port motor.
Also, if anyone can recommend a kit and where to get it, I'd be much obliged.

Your OEM crank is probably just fine for a stock engine --- unless it is scratched/gouged badly and can't be turned for oversized bearings stick with it. You are going to change the cam right?
Yes I am. Now that I know I'll be fine with an OEM crank then it should be easy to find a cheap rebuild kit, I was a bit afraid of spending $1000 on a fully-forged rebuild kit
