Anyone in the Western Canada/Upper States have an extra one laying around that they want to part with? I'm still looking around the local wrecking yards but having little luck. How much does one go for if it's in rust-free shape? Any help would be appreciated:)

Try either VWBob (vwbob.com) or Averre's (can't recall the website offhand). They're both VW salavage yards. Averre's in Washington state & VWBob is in Pennsylvania(?). Either should have the lid if someone on the NG can't provide you with one. Also, try thesamba.com under the parts section as they come up from time to time. Not real sure, but can't imagine a lid goes for more than $50 (and could certainly be had for well under it if lucky), afterall it isn't a convertible W lid or even a plain old W lid. - DB
