I am looking for a locking assembly for a 1996 Nissann Pickup glovebox.
Mine has broken and am having a devil of a time finding the part for it.
I tried Nissan dealership and they want me to buy a whole new glovebox.
Also tried local salvage yards and auto parts places.
All with no luck.
Can anyone help me?

I'd imagine that the glove box latch on several different models of Nissan vehicles are interchangeable. Try a few "self-service" scrap yards and have a look at Pathfinders or larger sedans. I'm not
100% certain, but it seems to me most of the dashboard in my '87 1/2 truck looks almost identical to an '86 Sentra I used to own, years previously. I don't seen why not -- it would make sense to reuse the same components across several different models, wherever possible.
