yeah you guys are such babies about what newsgroup people post general questions to... if someone drives a VW but has a question about how a battery works on lets say their daily driver ford and they post it here they get pushed away... Maybe they feel like they should post this general question here because they know the people here and know that there is someone knowledgable about how the electrical system on a car works. People in this newsgroup have been working on cars a long time... some of them work at dealers or shops and actually work on cars made by some other manufacturer... maybe some other newsgroup has a bunch of losers that don't know how to use a voltmeter... I don't know... It's funny though... if someone asks a general automotive question and say this is on a "insert non VW manufacturer here" then we suddenly cannot answer their questions and someone replies with some stupid remark that makes them feel unwelcome to post here... On the other hand, there are people such as Shaggie that you guys are constantly posting his Jeep adventures links on here and Ben Boyle who posts about his non VW cars... and yet they arent pushed away for that... I think Shaggie is even encouraged to post his links!

I guess there is no keeping everyone happy... I guess that it is only acceptible for Ben Boyle and Shaggie to post non aircooled VW stuff here... and also ebay auctions for wedding dresses... anything else non aircooled VW that is acceptable here? lets make sure it is clear to everyone what IS and IS NOT allowed...

end rant

well ben since i am a hillbilly i do understand it...i'm not saying vwtrends is anything special, i merely pointed out that they published a "year by year" that contained this information...you are free to disreguard it if you wish... JT

you are so far off you...you really should hang around a bit more...here at RAMVA OT posts are a way of life....most here don't hesitate to post an OT thread....and its NOT frowned upon...shaggie and ben both have the courtesy to post thier adventures under an OT subject header...and there is a big difference in a regular member of this group asking an out of place question and some "flyby" that we have never seen and may never see again...these people usually don't want to do their homework and post to several newsgroups at once(crosspost)....therefore when it lands in a newsgroup that it doesn not belong in, they hear about it...that is how it *should* be....
