Argh!

Don't be so sure the squealing is not coming from the front discs! Disc brakes do that, it's a well documented fact.

Like it's been said...............Discs have the Squealing tendency.

Also you might want to do a more in depth look at the rear brakes if you can SEE 1/8" ...................It might be that they have a thin spot on the side of the lining you cannot see,................you know,................next to the drum or backing plate, ( whichever way you looked at it before)....................

Also you could have a broken spring on the rears and that will do a major noise as described...................even a weak sprinig can cause such noise sometimes.

High temp Copper paste on the back of the pads, and on the parts of the metal plate where they touch the caliper metal and are supposed to slide or "drag" against it. Do NOT put any copper paste on any slider pins or rubber gaskets or boots etc, for those use only brake component grease, MAYBE some clean vaseline.

Have you tried pulling the handbrake on (keeping button depressed) whilst moving, and see if it squeeks. Might help determine wether its front or back with the problem?
