Are the two choke elements on the twin-carb 1800 the same? It appears that the choke flap inside the the two carbs moves in different directions, one clockwise the other anti. Both the elements in my bus move in the same direction when heating. Any advice?? Cheers.
I THOUGHT that there were different choke covers for left and right. That's certainly the case for the dual carb type 3s.
Can you tell that one side is working and the other is not?

I found out after I had bought the bus and reconnected what was there, that the right hand element was closing the choke flap not opening it as it heated up. I've tried to get the right, as in correct, one but I can't seem to find one.
Keep looking, they're out there. Watch at swap meets and on ebay. Check out
