So I'm bleeding my brakes and discover that my aged rubber hoses from the reservoir tank to the master cyclinder of my 77 convertible are leaking. I've gotten new hoses but having one heck of a time pushing them onto the tank and the master cyclinder. I tried a little liquid soap but that didn't help to much. Any other ideas to ease the pain? I'm dreading trying to push them onto the master cyclinder. Thanks all.

DON'T use any kind of lube there, unless it's brake fluid. Almost anything else will contaminate your brake fluid. You might use a bit of silicone spray, but never soap and certainly not anything containing water.
Did you get the correct blue brake fluid hose?
