Reminds me of the early jeep rollbars people were installing themselves.They bolted to the 20-or-so gauge fender and when the jeep rolled with anyforce the rollbar just ripped the fenders out! When I had the head-on withthe Ford Probe in Bussy, the Ford was totalled and I drove Bussy home. Itwould have been a different matter had it been a 4WD pickup, I'm sure.Idon't like the bar in the picture because I think it would be theleg-breaker and pinner. One on the outside built onto the bumper wouldhopefully absorb enough energy before my legs and feet get involved. My Bus never had one of those!  But then, it didn't have that niceunder-dash lining.  Or a floor.  Or brakes!Damn I miss it.-Ray

Never standard that I know.The factory crash structure is underneath the floorpan, spreading outfrom the bulkhead. It got bigger and wider with the later model buses. Jan
