Early American Aircooled

As stated the design was bought by Poland, still being built there & the wierd part is they still say "Franklin" on the cover. :/ Unfortunately these engines, as well as Lycoming & Continental aircraft engines, are just too damn big to fit in a bug :(.

John, I saw and touched my first franklin last summer at a car show in Mo. I had never seen one up close and was amazed that it was air cooled. I believe it was an in line 4 cyl. How about the franklin horizonal 4 cyl aircraft motor with over 250 lbs of torque show from current production....I dare you to do it....Dennis

Ain't it just AWESOME how much has gone before us?

Good to read/hear from you, Dennis!

John
