Anyone tell me or post an picture how the engine cover (hood) spring ( 73 Bug convert. ) is suppose to hook on to what to keep it open . Picture would be great . Thanks

There is a spring that creates the tension needed to hold it up. You can see it in this picture. The upside down U shaped part goes against the car and the legs attach to the hood.
The easest way to put it on is to loosen the cover and take all of the bolts off of one side. It is also great to have someone help you.
