FS - 1974 Beetle Convertible, Upstate NY

First, thanks for those who replied to my earlier post asking if this was OK.

For sale:

Located in Rochester, New York, 14607

Color: Green, with beige vinyl top (has been repainted, not the original color but they did a pretty nice job) Upholstery is brown. Top and headliner are new as of last summer and we have the boot cover also to match the top.

Mileage: unknown, as the odometer has not worked since we got it, however the speedo and gas gauge are fine

Body: overall in very good condition, very little rust everything seems pretty solid including the floor pans. I beleive that all of the rubber and chrome trim for the windows and body is in place. In general the car is very original.

Interior: One small crack on the dash near the speedo hump. Rear seat is in good condition. Front seats have lost all their horsehair stuffing. I've got some foam stuffed under cheap seatcovers for now but she really needs restoration of the existing seats or new seats. Metal frames appear to be in useable condition so the seats could probably be rebuilt with one of those kits.

Original pushbutton radio still in the dash (so the dash hasn't been hacked up) but the radio doesn't work, I've checked the fuse and it's OK, but have not done any troubleshooting beyond that.

Front trunk release in the glovebox doesn't work (you just open it at the front) and the glovebox latch is broken too, but someone did a nice job with a spring that keeps it closed!

Engine starts on the first turn of the key and runs well, she's very fun to drive. Various owners including myself have done various work. Some electrical parts like the alternator and plug wires have been replaced, and we did the carb and the fuel pump recently.

Passed state inspection, everything works so she is ready to drive. Tires brakes and suspension are serviceable. We installed new steering tie-rods 2 summers ago.

We have owned the car for only a couple years and I'll answer any questions that I know the answer to! I've tried to list all the "bad" things as honestly as possible.

Selling it only so that we can put more money into a new house !!
