Good Automotive Paint

Feb 17, 2004 1 Replies

Guys, Eventually I'm planning on painting some new fenders, hood, etc. I have a decent HVLP gun, but I need some suggestions for paint. Particualry what brand, system, etc would be good. I'm not looking for the cheapest around, but I also dont want to spend $200+ a gallon. It needs to be something that will work good on fiberglass and metal, and last a while.

Thanks,

I'm a fan of the PPG "concept" line, I also like the "omni" line put out by them (if you wanna save a buck). Its been very forgiving paint for me as I paint outside on a shell driveway no less. I used those brands on both my baja (metal and F/G) Lots of R/C boats where nasty oily nitro fuel just covers them after a run, and also for patchwork here and there.
