Does anyone know where the return springs clip onto to help return the heating system to the closed position. I know one end of the spring clips onto the lever but i cant see an anchor point for the other end!

Later models had a spring that hooked onto the lever at one end and then the other hooked onto a loop on the engine tinware (not on the heater itself). Earlier ones had a coild spring affair that went over the pivot point, hooked onto the lever and then anchored itself through a hole in the heater casing.
