My 62 beetle hood won't close all the way. Looking from below at the front, I can see there is at least 1/2" gap between the hood and the body. My feeling is that the car was in an accident at some point, pushing the nose apron down and back slightly, although I can't see any damage. The hood looks fine.
Does anyone know of a trick to push the apron back up this small amount? Would it work to place a floor jack under the front and try lifting it up?
