intake manifold removal

what is the procedure for replacing the intake manifold with engine in car or must i remove engine again? it's a stock 1500 in my 67 beetle.

Remove carb, gen/alt & rear engine tin. Because you need to remove alt/gen, it may be easier with engine out.
