Little off topic - safety goggles with eye correction ?

Question

Maybe its OT. But since i have bought a 1303 and need to do some rusty bodywork....i lately need to wear glasses to see whats going on. So i'm asking.... Is it possible to buy safety goggles with eye correction in the US? I saw Monster Garage lately. Many of the (also older) guys wear some small nice looking safety goggles during. Is it possible to buy a kind of these glasses with correction in the US for a reasonable price? (I visiting the US (Vegas) in about a week) Have a nice day... Michael (Denmark)

................I've seen that Sam's Club sells prescription safety glasses. I'd bet that Walmart has them as well. You'll need a membership card from a friend to get into a Sam's Club (they rarely if ever actually look at the photo).

Not neccessary! Good goggles go over your eyeglasses. You see, they getscratched. It's less expensive to replace the faceplate or goggles thaneyeglasses.

for stuff where my glasses are in danger i use a full face shield.  infact i am on the way to the tool store in the morning to get another. I just sat a rather heavy piece of equipment down on my last one.my prescript glasses are a hardened safety lens.  ever since two backto back incidents way back when younger and working in hazardous jobs ihave always gotten the safety lens glasses.  both time glasses wereknocked completely off of my head but only had chips in the lens ratherthan punctured or shattered lenses.  one was a rock chip traveling athigh velocity and the other was a metal chip at high velocity.  hate tothink if they had hit anywhere other than the glasses.  Safetyinspectors had the same comment.jimt
