I've got a 51amp Motorola alternator with a integral regulator on my 61 bug and it is not charging the battery anymore. I have a feeling the regulator is shot. Does anyone know if it can be replaced and if the part is still available. I'm reading a lot about conversions using different regulators on this type of alternator. Is this an option I may need to look into also? Thanks in advance... Hank
