OT:Finaly back online, Merry Christmas!

First of all:

Merry Christmas to you all!! Better late than never..

Fecking pc that I built less than a year ago crapped out on me two days before Christmas, in fact it decided to go slowly, acting up for three days... very much like a worm hit it, that I doubth though, running firewall and anti virus all the time plus using Opera as a browser. Dusted off the oold back-up machine, had trouble getting on the net, rebooting and the fecking same thing happens again!!!! Two machines in less than 24 hours... very suspect, having trouble getting onto my old drives too, seems like the FAT is screwed.

Got online about 04:00 tonight thanks to a very good friend of mine who recycled a big old machine from his place of work to me, very kind! Now running a Compaq Deskpro EN series 500MHz with 128 of RAM, Whoohoo.......

When I think of it my first machine wich died a year ago died in a similar way, starting to suspect voltage fluctuations in my flat, straaaange..

Managed to totaly awoid family this Chritmas, that was a first...

Anyways, hope you all had a good one.

Jørn.

Ps. I take it you've all seen the Asian disaster on telly, have actually been to four of the afflicted places in Thailand, glad I was not there when this shit happened!

That's what I keep thinking about the Christmas cards sitting on my desk that never made it out...
