Prob a stupid question as I know there will be a lot of variation.
I have empi8s with 195/65s on (x2 not driven on my car yet) which I am going to put on the rear, and am just about to buy tyres for the front (currently sitting on stock all round).
I'm unsure whether to buy another two 195s or go for 185s. I checked the
195 on the front wheels and they stick proud of the wing (fender) a little with only about an inch clearance up top.
Ideally I'd like to get the right tyres first off without having to alter anything else and avoid rubbing the bodywork.
Any ideas on roughly how much clearance above the wheel I need? (I stood on the bumper and the car didn't move much at all, which I guess isn't much help - although it has been sitting a while in the garage though)
