What should the ignition timing be set at?('74 super convertible 1600DP carburetor not fuel injection) It looks like it's set around 5 degrees AFTER TDC, is this correct? Thanks.

2 legs Baaaad, 4 legs Goooood (something like that...)
If your distrib has TWO vac hoses, timing is 5 deg ATDC with both hoses on.
If it has ONE hose, timing is 7.5 deg BTDC with hose disconnected.
These are for '74 cars w/4-spd.
Only Calif cars had 2 hoses in '74.
