I know this isn't strictly aircooled VW related, but I figured some of you must have run into this. I'm looking at a parts car that is towable. I'd rather not pay for a flatbed and I haven't found a friend with a car trailer just yet. So, is it legal to tow an unregistered car with a towbar? At first I thought it wasn't, but I recall seeing just recently a towtruck pulling a car that was clearly not registered. Maybe getting 2 of the 4 wheels off the ground helps???? I'm in NY if anybody has any info that might be relevant.
