travis: sandseal pully and breather box?

Apparently with the stock crank pulley, the lack of a seal allows for all of the breathing that the case needs, but when you install the sand seal pulley you have to compensate by opening things up somewhere else. I never dug deeply into specifics of this. I just got a lot of comments from people on RAMVA when I mentioned I was going to put a sand seal pulley on and they all told me I should install a breather box. I kinda blindly followed their advice. Seems to be working out fine so far.

Thanks. I had a lot of fun putting the whole thing together. I'm thinking of hitting some trails tomorrow that I just found this morning. A whole system of them. Looks like at least 5 different entrances into these trails. About ten miles from my house... I've been out there twice today, once this morning on the motorcycle while I was hunting for them, and again with my wife in her car while I showed her where she might need to come rescue me and the LCB in the near future. ;-) Stay tuned...

I have a sandseal pulley, too, but no extra breathing and this one damn oil leak I just can't find. The bottom of the engine is always wet and leaves drips where it's parked. Appears to be coming from the front of the engine _somewhere_. I just can't find where... Need more gunk! The end seal was replaced in january when the top-end was rebuilt but it is wet around the hole up into the flywheel.

She's up on jackstands now while I finish off lining the engine compartment with some shiny "hot water heater blanket" in place of the icky tar board. I gotta get me one of them digital cameras :)

I'll inspect some more today and consider the extra breathing. Thanks.
