Trip to Wolfsburg

I will be travelling to Wolfsburg via Hanover in March and I would be glad of any recommendations for budget hotels and advice on if it is best to book over the Internet of to relay on tourist information on arrival.

.......Do a google search of RAMVA for Jim Buys who lives in Germany. He had a link to a website I remember that probably has an email link. He hasn't been posting here for a long time but it's worth a try.

A couple of years ago I visited Wolfsburg, and stayed in this hotel:

Decent hotel, for a nice price, with great beer....

You have to go by car to visit the factory, just a little too far for walking.

If you want to visit Volkswagen's Autostadt, and you want to see everything, plan 2 days for it. Autostadt is a lot about art instead of cars, that was a bit of a dissapointment, but there were some nice classic beetles. It is worth visiting, especially if you take the factory tour. There you will see part of the factory.

But if you want to see a lot of aircooled's, you have to visit the Volkswagen automuseum which is not part of autostadt, not even near the factory:

This is a must see!

Have fun!
