I got 2 of them. AE 668445 is a good one with no cracks with 10 mm studs. The other one, AE 282650, is probably a boat anchor.
I was told that the 2nd engine came from an older lady who drove up, and said it was "making a knocking noise". She had disintegrated #2 rod into pieces, and was still running on 3 cylinders. Case was beat up bad where the #2 rod was. I still have that crank too. It is in good shape too, except for the #2 journal. The other 3 rods look good, along with the cam gear and distributor gear. It may be able to be reground.
Just don't know what to do with these cases, though. I want to save up enough to invest in a good stroker engine, but I am afraid to use that used good case (case savers, line bore, etc). It really doesn't appear like it needs line boring, but the bearing journals could be out of round just slightly.
Anyone like to have some old cases?
