which exhaust system

hi i am looking to get a new exhaust for my bug but in not sure what would work best. i have a 1776 with twin 40idf's and a 120 cam. at the moment i have a smallish bug pack one. but i think that it is restricking it a lot. i am thinking that 1.5" pipe work with some sort of bit muffler. any help with what is a good system please im thinking a thunderbird merged header with a turbo trip. thanks
