164/140 Automatic Transmision Question

Hello Group,

Does anyone know if a B-W 35, (M35 in volvo speak), from a 140 will fit a 164 that was also equipped with a BW 35?

THanks, george.

If I remember well, it will fit without any problems.

Didn't the 164 use a BW-55?

Generally you can use this rule of thumb - pushrod motor = BW35, overhead cam = BW55 or AWxx. There were a few B20/BW55 and B21/BW35 combos produced in '76 and '77, but none sold in US/Canada.
