the metal C -shaped spring pieces - about the size of a human ear, about 1/8" diameter, have cracked on most of my 240's lower door hinges.. I just bought online a lower door hinge, which seems different from what I have, and, looking at it, can I buy just the "C" shaped piece and hammer into place on a removed hinge?
