I went to Kwikfit to have a new cat back system fitted on my '91 745. The rear silencer is fitted upside down and looks terrible. It took 3 visits to get something done, which included driving back to get them to tighten up the U clamps which they had forgotten to do etc. etc. and one more to another Kwikfit to get an answer, which took a while to get. Hopefully tomorrow they will get it right, when even more hopefully the new parts arrive to try again.. What a company. Bright side is that the system cost £80 to fit. But at what a cost in time, inconvenience etc. I've taken a few shots with my camera just in case..... Anyone else seen a Volvo 740 with the rear silencer having the S shaped tailpipe at the top of the silencer at the back? Thought not, LOL. BTW, first depot even blowtorched the new over axle bit to make it fit the rear silencer - upside down..... How much water do you think I could collect in the rear when it can't blow out? couple of pints I reckon....
