740 windscreen wipers keep stopping

I have a problem in that my windscreen wipers operate slowly or stop midwipe, is an intermitant problem, I have a new battery and all other electrics work ok any help appreciated.....thx..

It could be the ground wire to the motor, or possibly the park switch inside the motor gearbox.
