94 850 Turbo Wagon with ECC fan trouble

Hello all. About a month or so ago, I saw my ac lights flash for around

25 or so seconds, then everything was fine, they never flashed again. But just recently my fan has started giving me trouble. At first it would start up slow, but as you drove for about 10 minutes it would work it's way up to full speed. Now it is getting to the point that full speed is quite slow, and sometimes it doesn't work at all. When it doesn't work, it seems to help to turn the car off and back on, then you get some fan, also if you push it to high, it is only blowing at around half speed. I am pretty savvy with cars, and would suspect there is some kind of resistor somewhere. But I don't know where to begin with the ECC

Your blower motor is probably going bad. My blower motor resistor has gone bad twice-each time no fan at all. You can replace the blower motor.Have to remove the glove box and knee guard . The blower comes out with three or four torx screws. The resistor is next to the blower on the left and comes out with one screw. If you aren't ready to pull the motor, You can spray some light lubricant into the outside intake under the passenger side cowling beneath the wiper. Have to remove four screws and lift the cowling up,may have to lift out air filter. You can then touch the Squirrel cage and rotate it by hand. If you feel the resistance of bad bearings, order a fan from FC Groton.
