965 Timing Belt change

Hi there !! I will change my Volvo's 965 timing belt at 144K miles. In addition to the tensioner (damping element ($100)) and the belt . Do I need to replace the tension pulley ($89) and the idler pulley ($72)?. Please if someone can post the replacement schedule for these parts. I would like to have them on hand if I need them, rather than inspect the elements, order them and wait for them to show up.

Thanks

Arnold

You may need to change them, and you may not. You may want to change them to be safe, even if there's nothing wrong with them. Also, some like to change the water pump at this mileage, since its failure will cause the same damage as a bad tensioner, bearing or idler.

As a data point, last year when I did the second timing belt on my S70 (224,000 km = 140,000 mi), I changed the water pump even though there was nothing wrong with the original one, but didn't change the tensioner or bearings.
