FS: Parts (sniff!) From 1998 S70 - redS70.JPG (0/1)

Sad tale, but true. My beloved 1998 Red S70 (see pic attached) has to go. Thankfully, I have picked up a pristine 1990 740 Turbo, but this one has to go. This post is partly to seek advice, and also possibly if anyone needs parts and/or a 'spare' S70. It is a base model 5 spd. I am the second owner, and I have had it since Oct. 2000. It had

80,000 kms when I bought it, and now has 229,000 kms. The body is in reasonable condition, although the front bumper is a bit loose from a minor fender-bender I had 5 months ago. Factory mags and CD Changer, cloth interior, still running well. If kept intact, it needs either a core replacement (Volvo does have a program for this, I believe for $5500 CAD). I would have to guess that the clutch is coming of age, and also the timing belt (last done at 117,000 kms). All regular maintenance was done until 186,000 kms, which was when I found out about the compression issue. Since then, oil changes only.

So, the advice I am looking for, is opinions on how I can extract as much value as possible from my lady in red. Of course, I am willing to sell parts or whole to anyone on here, but a bit of sound advice/recommendations would be much appreciated. If you are interested in a particular part or parts, and need close-ups, I am happy to take more detailed pics on demand, and email them to you, along with a price. I know how much some of these parts can cost (I replaced the power door lock motors @ $167 ea. for the parts!), and I have access to price lists through a friend, but I will be exceedingly reasonable on reasonable price requests...so, where you might find a door lock motor for $85 at a wreckers, I will charge you $50. Anyway, advice an pricing inquiries are welcome and encourage, and TIA for any help.
