Hello, My 940 has been running fine, only just lately causing problems when the engine is already warm. To keep it going I have to rev it up a little, gradually easing off the throttle until "normal" tickover is established. I can even tell when it will stall as the rev counter "hunts" up and down a bit unless I give it some more throttle. Also, occasionally when pulling away from a junction it will cough/miss a little, which I feel is part of the same problem? I have done some research on the net about this with lots of reference to the Fuel Pressure Regulator and was going to replace this myself. I could not source the part from one of the motor factors that I normally use, so I bit the bulet and went to my local Volvo Agent (Kings in Salisbury). The part was not in stock and I was advised that as this could be a number of things, it would probably be better for them to look at it. Thanks for following so far! My questions are :-
1/. Should I replace the part myself hoping to hit it in one OR let Kings talk me into having their technicians look at it? 2/. Anyone dealt with Kings and what are they like when it comes to so-called intermittent faults? Thanks in advance.
