I have some thing I want you to help me get done to my VOLVO 740 1990. I do not want to take it to a mechanic, it will be to expencive.
My volvo has some hesitation issues and stuff (complete tunup, new oxygen sensor, fuel systsm checked, fuel injector cleaning performed with improvments but still acting up occationally) so I want to Check and possibly replace fuel pump (the pump close to the tank)(because the car has a tendency to hesitate more when the tank is half full or lower)(price unknown) Check if there is a air leak at the exhaust manifold gasket and possibly replace the exhaust manifold gasket(that can effect the airmixture) ($130 at mech) If above does not help, troubleshoot! 150000 mi checkup which include new timingbelt (timingbelt replacement incl tentioner (around $380 at mech)
I need to find someone with more experience than I have that can help me this for a resonable price, I will gladly assist and I want to learn for next time. I live in appartment so I do not have the space to work at and I do not have many good tools. I am willing to invest in some tools if needed. Give me an offer/estimate. I will pay for all the parts of course. I live in the WASHINGTON DC area (Alexandria,VA) so it would be good if you did too, or within resonable distance.
