Installing a TAC in a 240

_____ Yes. There are two different form factors: 1) in main cluster (about 3 inch diameter), 2) in accessory cluster (2 inch diameter). Signal comes from ignition coil. Can't remember which terminal. Check schematic in Haynes book(s). The petrol powered 240 usually is pre-wired for a tachometer. Should be red/white wire with female spade connector somewhere in dash area. If you have a diesel powered 240, the signal for the tachometer is derived from the alternator. The diesel's tachometer calibration is different and cannot be used in a petrol powered car.
What's a TAC?
A RPM gauge, they are one in the same I just learned..
