thank you so much for this hint - it is the first source (apart from a complete "refurbished", yet unknown history engine I'm seeing now.

But: The drawing looks very different from the part I have here. If you compare the product drawing with the part in my images (the product number was provided by our local Volvo garage), it resembles it only very remotely.

Any idea?

I noticed that the parts are looking a bit diffrent. Maybee you got and older version. What year are your car?

It seems though that I have a solution - not yet verifiedm but chances are pretty good. The filter holder for the Volkswagen T4 has the same engine-side geometry as my cracked part. Fitting the filter cartridge /should/ be possible somehow. I'll let you know.

Today, I got a replacement part (used, but almost as new), and hopefully, my car will run again this weekend.
