My 98 S70 has two different rattles in the front end: a clunking sway bar rattle and a high-pitched rattle that sounds like a tin can bouncing around in the front end. Can the sway bar rattle be fixed by just changing the bushings, or do I need to swap the whole sway bar? What is the likely source of the "tin can" rattle? The car has 115K miles on it and runs well except for these annoying rattles.

Usually sway bar rattles are just the links. If the bushings that wrap around the bar are bad, then the whole bar needs to be replaced as they are bonded to it.
Mike,
The links were replace about 10K miles ago and have been tightened up since. Are there any aftermarket bushings that can be used with the existing sway bar?
